[ARCHIVED] Trail segment temporarily closed at Bass Lake Park

Due to nearby roadwork and tree removal, the trail segment at Bass Lake Park connecting the park office with the picnic shelter is closed until further notice. As the state Department of Transportation replaces the deteriorating Bass Lake Road bridge, park staff expects intermittent trail closures for park visitors’ safety. Call the Bass Lake Park office at (919) 557-2496 or check the park’s Facebook page for trail updates.

Though the Bass Lake Road bridge is closed to through traffic for the duration of the construction project, which is expected to last about six months, the road to the park office and picnic shelter parking lots remains open.
