Due to apparent fraudulent votes cast in its Hometown Showdown photo contest during the week, the N.C. League of Municipalities is calling it a draw and is holding a weekend overtime match-up between Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs.
Our fire safety education puppy, Cinder, needs you to “like” his photo before 8 a.m. Monday at this link to the League's pagehttp://ow.ly/KT9t4. Share it with your friends, and a tag a few if you like. But let’s keep it real.
The League is asking cities to encourage supporters not to purchase likes or create fake profiles. As far as we know, no one in Holly Springs did this, and we are forwarding the League’s request.
Thank you, Holly Springs, for your kind, loving and supportive comments for Cinder. They are a joy to read since Cinder is away at training this month, and we miss him so! We can’t wait for him to get home and take up his official duties of working with children, the elderly and disabled to learn about fire safety and prevention.
