[ARCHIVED] Snow Disrupting Garbage, Recycling Pickup

More snowfall overnight Wednesday likely will mean more delays in garbage and recycling collection.

Waste Industries resumed service Wednesday collecting garbage and recycling from Tuesday route customers and as many Wednesday route customers as possible.

Service on remaining Wednesday routes was to resume Thursday morning, assuming road conditions allowed.

Waste Industries said before the latest snowfall that crews likely would be working Saturday and even Sunday in an effort to finish the week's collection.

Stay tuned for word from Waste Industries on the timing of collection.
