Public Works crews have trucks ready with sand and salt in case roads turn icy Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
"We're prepared as best we can be," Public Works Director Luncie McNeil said, adding that equipment checks and the gathering of supplies began months ago.

Hunt Recreation Center is set to open at 5 a.m. Wednesday. At this time, all facilities are scheduled to open at the usual hour.
All Parks and Recreation programs and classes were cancelled Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m.

Seven Public Works trucks with a plow attached to the front and a salt and sand spreader on the back are on hand along with a motor grader, McNeil said. Late Tuesday morning, crews began filling the trucks with a 3-to1 mixture of sand plus salt.
