The pedestrian bridge over Basal Creek is open, completing the loop trail at Bass Lake Park.
The 50-foot long bridge and 600-foot-long mulch walkway were the final pieces for the long-awaited completion of the trail around the lake. The bridge is next to Bass Lake Road, downhill from the picnic shelter
Construction on the bridge began in the spring.
The bridge and loop completion project cost approximately $300,000. In March, the Town Council awarded a $247,000 construction contract to McQueen Construction.
