[ARCHIVED] Turn lane to close again temporarily

The newly-reopened turn lane on Holly Springs Road will be closed again this week, but only temporarily. A turn lane on Holly Springs Road and a turn lane on Main Street are scheduled to close between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, June 28. A consultant working on behalf of the gas station will be drilling in the median and along the side of the road. The work is to assess the site where an underground gasoline storage tank was punctured.

As pictured, the turn lanes to be closed include the left turn lane on south-bound Main Street and the right turn lane on west-bound Holly Springs Road.

The turn lane was recently reopened on Holly Springs Road after an underground tank was filled with material to stabilize it so that traffic on the road surface above would be safe.
