[ARCHIVED] What’s going on this weekend?

We’ve got a weekend packed full of events here in Holly Springs. Check out what’s coming up:

Art reception for Bill Schroeder and Sheron Jamel
6-8 p.m., Holly Springs Cultural Center
Meet Bill Schroeder and Sheron Jamel, the artists featured at the Holly Springs Cultural Center this month. Mr. Schroeder is a retired trade show designer who uses his art as therapy. Ms. Jamel is a gourd sculptor and jewelry maker whose one-of-a-kind work is a testament to limitless imagination and expression. Light refreshments will be served.

GB4 performs: Summer at the Springs Free Outdoor Concert Series
6:30-9 p.m., Holly Springs Cultural Center
GB4 is our Town’s own original blues and classic rock party band. Since 2006 GB4 has rocked events throughout the Holly Springs area. Holly Springs residents Tom Dobridge, Steve Spencer, Brad Shaffer and Kingsley Platts invite everyone to their seventh appearance at the Summer at the Springs Concert Series. Bring a lawn chair and a picnic dinner, and enjoy this family-friendly concert on the outdoor stage at the cultural center. No alcohol allowed outside.

Family Bingo
7-9 p.m., Bass Lake Park
$1 per card
Come to Bass Lake Park for a little friendly competition! We play 13 games each night. Cards are $1 at the door, and all money leaves as a prize. Most games will pay out to the winner's neighbors as well, so if you’re not lucky, sit by somebody who is! Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Remember to come early as seats and space fill quickly.

Rabies Clinic
9 a.m., Raleigh
$5 vaccinations
Holly Springs Animal Control officers join those from Raleigh, Cary and Garner at a clinic hosted by Wake County Animal Control at 1100 New Bern Avenue in Raleigh. Get $5 inoculations for dogs and cats, and meet your local Animal Control officers. Click here for more information.
