Beginning Friday, Aug. 6, masks will be required to be worn inside Town of Holly Springs government facilities by everyone over 5 years of age, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are not required for outside activities.
The requirement comes on the heels of the Centers for Disease Control recommendation that everyone in areas designated as "substantial community spread" for COVID wear a mask in public indoor settings, even those people who are fully vaccinated, to help reduce the spread of the Delta variant. Wake County is now an area with substantial community spread.
