The grant process for businesses seeking assistance to develop in downtown Holly Springs has been clarified and streamlined, thanks to the Holly Springs Town Council. At its Sept. 15 meeting, the council approved the Holly Springs Downtown Investment Grant policy.
The grant program helps stimulate business development in downtown Holly Springs by sharing infrastructure expenses and reimbursing development fees. It previously was known as the Downtown Development Investment Program.
Part of the revamped grant policy correlates strategic project features, such as job creation, private investment, historic preservation, environmental sustainability and public art, to eligible investment amounts. The grant process also has been streamlined for applicants.
