At its March 3 meeting, the Holly Springs Town Council endorsed updated bus service routes that will provide more trips, faster travel time to downtown Raleigh, and improved frequency of buses.
The bus service endorsed by the council would provide 5 trips every 30 minutes during weekday peak commute hours between Holly Springs, Raleigh and RTP. Bus stops are proposed at Ting Park and in downtown Holly Springs. The service, funded by Wake Transit, is expected to evolve along with ridership and growing employment centers.
Public outreach is being planned for next month. Approval of the bus service by the GoTriangle Board of Trustees is anticipated in May.
