Holly Springs Cemetery is located on 8.54 acres at the corner of Earp and Burt streets. Plots at the cemetery are available for sale through the Town with consultation from Wake Funeral and Cremation Services. About Purchasing a Plot
One or more 5x10’ plots can be purchased. The Town provides a deed of easement and a map. Before burial, the Town charges a $975 grave opening fee on behalf of Wake Memorial, the designated licensee for the Holly Springs Cemetery, to mark plots and open and close graves. Both caskets and urns may be buried in the Town’s cemetery and a vault is required to seal remains.
Visitors may place flowers at grave sites in vases that are attached to the headstone or in a saddle designed for the purpose of attaching flowers to a headstone. United States flags are permitted on plots provided they are maintained in an appropriate manner. Please refer to the Cemetery Policy linked below, for complete rules.
The Town’s cemetery holds the graves of some of the Town’s founding families. The property originally held an all-boys preparatory school and a church. After the church building was relocated to its present location, the Town acquired the church's cemetery and surrounding property.
