About the Program

Every summer, children are invited to enjoy fishing with Holly Springs Police officers at Bass Lake Park as part of the annual Breaking Bread with Fish and Kids.

During the free event, police efforts focus on developing positive relationships with children and teens while offering the Holly Springs community outdoor fun at no cost.

To provide a better opportunity to create meaningful experiences for participants, program days are divided by age group. Participants ages 8-12 participate on Tuesdays, and ages 13-18 participate on Wednesdays. The event runs 7-9:30 a.m. during selected weeks in July and August at Bass Lake Park.
