Repairs Start Feb. 17 on Road Behind Holly Springs Towne Center

To smooth the ride for motorists, sections of Bennet Knoll Parkway behind Holly Springs Towne Center will close for repairs for six weeks or so beginning Feb. 17.

The project is divided into two sections, with one portion of the road closed at a time. Message boards, detour signs and barricades will alert drivers to closures and guide motorists around them.

The work will address dips in the roadway and other issues related to settling. The contractor who built the road is paying for the repairs.

Bennet Knoll roadwork extends from N.C. 55 at the northernmost entrance to the shopping center southward and westward to Old Holly Springs Apex Road. The two phases split at Vinewood Place, which runs between Petco and Bed, Bath & Beyond.

The entire project is projected to take about six weeks, although the schedule is wholly dependent on the weather. For which section is closed at any given time, stay tuned to web updates and social media posts. Barricades and detour signs will point the way for motorists.
