Second annual "Torch Ride" for motorcyclists and community cookout to benefit the Special Olympics of North Carolina.
The Holly Springs Police Department is hosting the second annual Law Enforcement "Torch Ride" to benefit the Special Olympics of North Carolina. The motorcycle ride will follow a scenic route from Holly Springs to the Veterans Memorial Pavilion in Broadway for a rest and refreshments break. The ride will then return to Holly Springs to the Lowes Foods parking lot where a BBQ and raffle will be waiting on the riders. Rider entry fee includes the BBQ lunch and one raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase at registration and at the BBQ until the raffle begins. All participants will receive a custom Torch Ride Holly Springs PD patch and 2019 rocker patch. This year's rocker patch will be red in honor of Holly Springs Fire Department firefighter Paul Tidwell who lost his battle with cancer earlier this year.

Community Cookout, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Whether you drive a motorcycle or not, everyone is invited to a community cookout in the Lowes Foods parking lot. A $5 plate will include your choice of a hamburger or hot dog, a salad, chips, and water or soda. Torch Run shirts will be for sale. Raffle tickets also will be on sale with $5/10 tickets and $20/arm length of tickets.
