Building the System

Reclaimed Pipes
The reclaimed water system began operation in Holly Springs in 2010, delivering recycled wastewater to be used for irrigation to a golf course, a subdivision and the Holly Springs Business Park. The $2 million project was paid for with development fees and a $750,000 federal grant secured by Congressman David Price. The project included:
  • Construction of an overhead 500,000-gallon storage tank at the corner of Irving Parkway and New Hill Road
  • Installation of pipeline up to 6 inches in diameter from the treatment plant to the storage tank, which feeds a network of piping from the tank to irrigation lines in the community.
