Closures & Cancellations

  • Town buildings, including Town Hall and Public Works, are closed to the general public until further notice.
  • Open park areas and greenways remain available for use, and visitors are expected to follow social distancing guidelines, remaining at least 6 feet away from others. Bass Lake Park and Sugg Farm gates will be open for greenway access until 7:30 p.m. daily, however boat rentals and the concession stand will remain closed. All park amenities including athletic fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, restrooms, drinking fountains, playgrounds (already closed) will be closed until April 16 in accordance with Wake County’s Stay at Home Order. 
  • All indoor parks and recreation facilities, programs and rentals will remain closed or postponed until further notice. This includes:
    • Hunt Recreation Center
    • Holly Springs Cultural Center 
    • Bass Lake Visitors Center
    • Fitness classes at the Hunt Center
    • Before and after school care and track out programs
    • Adult programs
    • Senior trips and programs
    • Programs at Bass Lake and Sugg Farm
    • Ticketed performances at the Cultural Center
    • Private rentals
    • Spring Fling event
  • A decision on spring youth athletic leagues will be made by early April, and an announcement will be provided at that time.
  • All public meetings are canceled through the end of March. April Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Tree Advisory Committee meetings are canceled.
